Don't cause more problems for yourself than you need to. If it is now known that the dealer is shady, and you filled out the appropriate documents when you bought the truck, law enforcement, prior owners or whomever can track you down if they need to.
You asked about the truck, they said they got it at auction, you have clear title. Enough said.
Keep in mind that news stories like to emphasize the negative, embellish, sensationalize. In all reality, most of the vehicles they sold were probably auction or dealer tradeoffs, like yours was.
