A long time ago, a friend bought a used truck. Turns out it was stolen, or a majority of it was stolen. Anyway, the police confiscated it. The police kept it for 3 yrs. The police never charged anybody, so after 3 yrs he got the truck back. But he lost it for a long time and received no compensation from anybody.
