I just love how speculation can run rampant on an Internet forum.
THERE'S NO INDICATION OR KNOWLEDGE THAT THE OP'S TRUCK HAS A FORGED SIGNATURE ON THE TITLE!
Even the detective apparently said "if" this is the case, then the truck could be impounded...which I don't believe they could legally do anyway.
You'll likely take a bath on trade-in since the truck is a 2001 gasser. So unless you just hate the truck anyway, I'd be holding onto it.
