This example is like comparing apples and organges. The OP bought it from a legitimate dealership. This is a business transaction, but a simple thief. The legal issues reside between the original owner of the vehicles and the dealer (and his business). There is no recourse against the purchaser of the vehicle with the forged title, assuming everything is above board on his end. And again, the OP doesn't even know if his vehicle is affected, and no wrongdoing has been proven in a court of law.
