I did weld them myself.
I like the adjustable legs. Are the problems you are addressing a slope side to side or fore and aft? I have usually ignored a little slope to the steps, if the ground is uneven enough that one side touches and the other is well off the ground, I block it with one of the Lynx wheel leveling blocks. On my last camper, I also worked off of the hitch extension, but the new one overhangs too far. I like the idea of yours pivoting, is it rigid enough not to wobble?
