Generators are like barking dogs. The people that own them never hear them. People drive into a camp ground and turn on the generator. then it runs for the next 3 or 4 hours, while they are inside watching the big screen television. We have a small trailer (22 feet) we love being out side that is why we camp. What's the answer? Not sure but folks you camp to be out side and enjoying life, not inside watching television.
I sympathize with you. I also like it to be quiet. My main reason for a generator is to run the AC. I can't get comfortable when it is 100 degrees and 40% RH.
