I have 2 of the Honda EU2000 generators, but only 1 is needed for my air conditioning. I've run it on 1 many times and according to my Killah attached the A/C draws 1600 watts when it's about 98deg outside.
If I could have been assured 1 2000W Honda would do it, that is what I would have bought.
It's more rare to have an A/C that is powered by 1 EU2000 than one that isn't.
A 13.5K BTU A/C needs more startup power than one can provide in most cases. Even with the fridge on gas, and converter turned off.
I could normally start my 9K BTU A/C with a single EU2000 on my old TT, but even then it was a tossup at decent elevation.
The Yamaha 2400 seems to be more prone to firing a 13.5K BTU A/C, but you won't get much of a recharge on the batteries if you need that with the A/C.
3000w minimum is preferred, it's just easier.
