I don't think climbing through the window is practical for anyone but the smallest person. I'd probably do a Class B. It doesn't look as much like an RV.
If you are dead set on a TC, I'd look for a used Northern Lite in the Northwest and use whatever you have left on the truck. If you are buying used, resale value isn't your friend. I think you'd be better off with the simplest cheapest model which is why I was suggesting Northern Lite. A 90s vintage would help you save a lot of money for the truck.
After having class B and class C self made conversions, I'm pretty dead set on the tc. I really need to be able to go into daily driver mode for dates. So sick of having an rv to drove for dates. Not a good first impression. It's something you break to them over conversation, rather than show up in. And parking was bad in my sprinter (2500 long and tall) as well as the box truck. Gotta be able to have a daily driver. Also, i like the ides of being able to get a different truck if it becomes mechanically unsound. With B and C RVs, you're stuck with whatever drive train you have. No swapping it out.
I'll check the northern light (still learning. Didnt know of these). Climbing through window is for stealth/urban mode only. I'm ok doing it. I had a true stealth sprinter conversion. Over the 3 years with that, i just ended up learning where to park. Stealth, class a, class c, anyone could park on the kind of spots i used. So truck camper is ok.
