I'll take that back, the truck I bought was the fourth I looked at. One of the ones I looked at the guy wanted way too much. I put what I was willing to spend in my pocket and went to look. He didn't even show up. Had an employee show it off. He barely spoke English, so I couldn't get any questions answered. No big deal, opened the hood, figured it had had a front end accident. Okay, he said it had a clean title. Was there for less than five minutes. You know what made me walk away? The truck had a stereotypical bad Cummins block. Left as soon as I looked under the truck. It was clean, it was decent, it had low miles. But there were too many red flags. Guy wasn't there, truck wasn't as decent as it looked and was made out to be, had a bad block, he wanted too much for any 1998 vehicle and he didn't even show personally. Time to go.
Point is, you've got more than enough money to get a really nice setup, and have plenty left over. You're getting great advice here. Start searching your area. When you find something you're interested in, do research on it. Ask about the quality of that product here. There are enough people active on here that have owned everything ever made. You can get good honest advice on wether it's worth the money or not.
Good luck in what you find. Good companies to start seem to be Lance, Northern Lite, Arctic Fox (or any north woods brand), and more.
Thanks!
I'm going to have to agree.
This is, by far, the best experience I've ever had asking a question on a forum.
Usually, it's a bunch of people suggesting things that make no sense, trying to get you to do whatever they do off topic, people fighting.
This thread has already been immensely helpful.
Thank you, everyone.
