Excellent advice, but can cause problems in many urban areas with gun laws. Usually, I bring my tactical shotgun from the boat when rving, but cant bring it to nyc, for example. Poses a problem.
Plus... It's a lot easier, legally, to leave a bad situation than to start brandishing guns and walk out of an RV in the middle of the night without body armor.
I retreat first. Guns are the absolute, life or death, last resort.
And Maine, from the story above is as peaceful and rural as it gets. Doesn't really matter where you are. Things happen.
