It's all speculation...until they release more details
Yes, a 13" ring gear is humongo and kinda sorta knew it is in the translation
from metric to English.
There are also 14 bolts to the GM HD 11.5" ring gear and it 'was' referred to as
a 14 bolt...until the confusion of 'which' 14 bolt...just a different 14 bolt PATTERN
Speculation...like the all aluminum Ford pickup...does anyone know if they did
the same as Audi's all alu cars?
Over lap spot weld isn't strong enough in some areas and Audi has cast/forged
(don't know which/where) as interface and then seam welds the alu formed sheetmetal
to those interface castings/forgings
Or has Ford gone to seam welded alu sheetmetal joints? That is expensive, takes
more time and the biggie...high potential of warp-age
Again all speculation until it shows up and logs lots of miles.
Like the sledge hammer to Ford Alu bed...who knew that they embedded the side
view cameras in the tail lights? Dumb to me...as each corner is a highly likely
to be dinged area...then with the expense...wait till the thieves figure out that
they are of high value
Not to say anyone is all bad or any one is all great...they are *ALL* becoming
so 'highly integrated' that the cost is going to be exrtemely HIGH...
