I just cant get with this program...

. This motor just doesn't belong in this truck. Anyway, as much as I would like Chrysler not to be a foriegn company I do think Fiat is doing a good job. I understand why they would go with the Motori diesel but I certainly would have loved to see this motor in the 1/2 ton Ram, heck I would have loved to see this motor as a cheaper alternative in the HD Rams. As far as the Titan goes, it looks pretty good IMO.

Fiat wanted their motors in the 1500 Ram trucks. That is the reason. I think all of us would have loved to see the Cummins in the half ton Rams. But it is what it is. Titans have not been selling well. This should propel the sluggish Titan sales higher and higher on the charts and give the Tundra serious competition.

A few years ago Mercedes was thinking of putting their diesel into the Ram trucks but stopped short when they realized the love affair between Ram owners and the Cummins engine. They were smart not to mess with that very successful relationship. Some people put the Cummins into other brands of trucks, almost nobody puts any other diesel into a Ram.

Looks good to me. Am quite satisfied with my 14 Ram, but I guarantee if I were in the market for a half ton pickup, I would be waiting to check this one out.

6 bolt hubs. That seems a little under whelming.

That engine should be in the Ram 1500, but that said it is still less HP than the EB. It will be interesting what the GVWR, GAWR, and tow ratings will be for this truck.

I would say this is going to change the whole ballgame. Watch all the ½T haters try and bad mouth it, with out ever seeing one or driving one, just because it has ½T on its badge......
