I just looked at a Lance TT

It had the sticker on it that said 4-season. I shimmied underneath expecting to find a fully enclosed & heated underbelly. Not so. I could clearly see a tank exposed & the waste valves were also exposed. I know every manufacturer has their own definition of 4-season, but my research indicates Lance is one of a hand-full of manufacturers that is truly 4 season. What say you? Would the tank & valves freeze as I'm moving from one spot to another in Winter? Or do I misunderstand the definition of "fully enclosed heated underbelly"? There might have been some spray insulation on that tank, but it was definitely exposed. Pls advise?

  • You will find the Arctic Fox fully enclosed--no tanks showing. But the discharge valves will be open. That is normally not a problem. We owned one and often camped in freezing weather but never long enough to really freeze up solid.

RV manufacturers will say anything to make a sale.

Well, I didn't actually talk to a salesman. Technically, the lot was closed. Now, I'm wondering what the underbelly of a rig manufactured by Northwood looks like. And I can see the benefit of visiting the factory.

I forgot to say that the two I looked at were manufactured in 2014 & 2015 & they were both rear bath floorplans.
