I'd keep an open mind to smaller units. I was in the same boat, thinking I needed a huge bunkhouse... I opened my options to some smaller units and found my perfect TT.
We have a 30' with a queen and bunks in the back and there are only 2 of us. We purposely bought that size. When it rains you need your space. If you are living in your RV the more room the better.
I suggest when looking for your TT really look at storage. We have yet to find one with the storage we have for the length and weight.
If you are buying both TT and TV, choose the TT first. You will be living in it.
