(Heads up maybe)And don't let Les Schwab tell you Maxxis is on back order...
In my experience it seems like they're always on back order, everywhere. That, coupled with the fact that noone within a 75 mile radius of my home carries them made me wonder what I would do if one ever needed to be replaced on the road.
Back story...I made the mistake of telling Les Schwab when I was leaving for long trip and when I absolutely needed them by. They messed around for a week and half and then said Maxxis are on back order and have been for over 4 months. I believed Les Schwab and put on some tow max. Couple weeks later was telling my kids (who runs a trailer shop 12000 miles away) and he told me he has never had a problem getting Maxxis. My kid suggested e-mailing Maxxis (or actually the people that do warehousing for them) Their response was that they never had maxxis on back order on the west coast. Printed out the e-mail and took it to Les Schwab and asked them about 2 different stories. The guy beat around the bush and splitting hairs and said their corp has them on order. That was the last business I did or will be doing with Les Schwab.
