i regret for trading my Snowriver TC

My wife was tired of falling off the steps and claiming over the cabover bed. so I let her win by trading the SR for the crossroad TT. Now I'm unhappy with the TT. its junk! I wish I didn't trade it.
as soon as one of my debt is pay off I'm going get myself a Northstar 850 or a Laredo. that's just for me to go alone when I fish!
Those TC surly is the best. they build better. I guess I gotta wait til then....
MAN, I missed my Snowriver...

    Most definitely!!

I no longer own the truck and TC in my signature.
  • The good news is your TT is about fixed now, right? :)

In any case, I don't think there are any low quality side entries, so if you go side entry, they will probably be pretty good. For a cheaper one person TC but not side entry, I'd also look into an older Northern Lite. The new ones are nice, but there doesn't seem to be much of an improvement from old to new on that line.

No matter the type of RV, there is potential for issues considering they are all built one at a time.
  • yes my wife is happy to have that TT, no shes not happy its a junk! but a little bit inside of her is that she wish to keep the SR cuz it only gave us 3 problems in 10 years. TT 10 problems in one month. The other reason why I stick with Northstar in the future is because of their customer service.
anyway thanks for your replys and I love this TC forum...
  • mdw60, I really feel your pain. All to often, try to encourage our spouse to enjoy camping. I find as my wife and I get older, the less she enjoys the camping. My point being, I finally hear her when she says set the camping stuff up to suit me, she still is usually not excited about camping. Sometimes yes, but usually not. Hopefully, your change was a decision both of you made, even if you think it was the wrong decision.

I too am an old man. I have a hardside TC. Even when my wife is with me, we have room for more "serious camping supplies". We actually have empty cabinets, and only have chairs in the extended cab. You might consider taking another look at your "serious camping supplies", could be they are just baggage. Perhaps downsize your "serious camping supplies" and upsize your living and comfort areas. I am not posting this to be critical, but just as a thought for you.

I remember years ago, I too had "serious camping supplies". Everything but a riding lawn mower. When I looked for someplace to store the mower, I decided to remove, not add, "serious camping supplies" every trip. It worked for me.

I am getting up years now and have really recently starting to think my personal safety camping off to my self would really be enhanced using the TC verses my OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer setup... The past few times camping by myself I have felt very uncomfortable. Lots of strange folks showing up now...

An OLD MAN in a tent probably looks like as easy mark...

Have always stayed away from the TC's for lack of storage space and the tying up of my truck... I can carry some serious camping supplies with the use of my Truck Bed, rear seat area, and the 5x8 open deck on the off-road camper...

I'm guessing a 4X4 TC camper even with duallys would still go just about anywhere like where I get to go with my OFF-ROAD camper trailer and truck...

The TC camper sure is a nice and modern setup for a couple of campers. Pretty sure I will be taking a small enclosed utility trailer behind me in the TC...

Go with your dreams while you can...

  • Get a high quality truck camper with side entry and make the dinette bed super comfy. Problem solved.
