- OldRacerExplorer2003 Silverado Duramax owner here. Bought it brand new. Just hit 240K on the clock this week. Still going strong. Hope to keep it another 5 years or so.
- Anmacc2ExplorerMy 1987 Ford Crown Victoria has 500,000 miles on it. Original engine that's never been rebuilt. Replaced the tranny at 400,000 miles. I sometimes use it to tow my boat. When it was new I used it to tow my TT. It still looks and runs like new and I still use it as my DD. Thanks for letting me play. I've only had my truck a couple of months so nothing to brag about there...
- dave17352Explorerwell my 2011 chevy dmax has 35k and the fuel system hasn't blown up yet!:)
- newman_fulltimeExplorer IIwell my 1998 chevy has 247.000 still going strong doesnt even use oil yet
- rhagfoExplorer IIIWell our 2001 Ram 2500 Cummins will turn 191,000 miles this trip pulling our 2005 Copper Canyon 293 FWSLS at about 11,000# or 19,500 GCVW. :B
- TurnThePageExplorerAnecdotally speaking, it appears that a tow vehicle of almost any brand within the last 15 - 20 years, with a known, well maintained history, will almost certainly perform close to its original specifications WAY OVER 100,000 miles. It's a great time to be alive! In a tow vehicle kind of way... :)

Mine is a year older and pushing 190,000 miles. 7 miles on it when new.
Factory ordered and continues to run great. I would take it anywhere without hesitation. - monkey44Nomad II

2002 GMC 2500HD....
Bought it with 250 miles on it.
And now it has 142,000.
I feel no need to "upgrade".
We drove our 2003 GMC 4x4 6.0L over 214,000 miles and it still ran great. Finally upgraded because we were heading out on a six-month trip from Florida 2 Cape Cod 2 Washington, down the west coast and back to Florida. Didn't feel quite comfortable enough for that long a trip with that many miles on it, especially with a lot of back-country camping along the way - so we bought 2015 Chevy 2500HD 4x4 and took off. And we're gearing up for another trip in two months ... GM trucks are built to last if you take care of 'em ...
