Lived in SC all my life. We have had snowstorms, ice storms, blistering cold days. I can remember in the sixties my dad burning coal in the fp due to ice storms. In the 70's we got two feet of snow, 80's Columbia was shutdown with snow, a few years ago same thing. It happens just not often. It's shifting weather patterns that happen all the time.
