IKEA Blackout roller shades - New Video

This is the third camper we have used these roller blackout shades and they are great! Quick video I put together and definitely not a how to. We have done these enough that I installed the three shades in less than 30 minutes. Take a watch!

I always wonder why a can of spray paint on the "night" side of the Day/Night shade wouldn't work. At least it wouldn't look ghetto and leave screw holes where you can obviously see them....

So you think it looks ghetto? Maybe I should of used PlastiDip on the shades instead! :S
  • My DW used IKEA blackout roller shades at her office for privacy.
They were easy to install and did a great job.

If you're going to replace your shades, this is an excellent choice.
    Thanks for posting.

  • I've got dizzy watching the video. (it it Saturday night afterall)
When I agree that day/night shades, or blade shades are high-maintenance items, they do offer several options that IKEA stuff does not.
    To each of their own.
  • What is an MCD shade?

I cannot do a comparison but I do know that when they are down, no light comes through. They are great and even better when at rest areas with lots of lights where the day/night shades still let light through.
