I always wonder why a can of spray paint on the "night" side of the Day/Night shade wouldn't work. At least it wouldn't look ghetto and leave screw holes where you can obviously see them....

- gboppExplorerMy DW used IKEA blackout roller shades at her office for privacy.
They were easy to install and did a great job.
If you're going to replace your shades, this is an excellent choice.

When I agree that day/night shades, or blade shades are high-maintenance items, they do offer several options that IKEA stuff does not.

- Camper_Jeff___KNavigatorThat looks like it should darken things up a bit and provide better privacy.
- mkasnerExplorerWhat is an MCD shade?
I cannot do a comparison but I do know that when they are down, no light comes through. They are great and even better when at rest areas with lots of lights where the day/night shades still let light through. - Boxer_LoversExplorerDo they compare to MCD shades?
