G-whiz,
"Confutatis" from the Mozart Requiem speaks to your issue.
I still think we have a big tent here for all paradigms.
Having been on this forum for over a decade I have seen folks who have something to offer come and go. Many of those did not at the time own a TC. I like cross-pollination as you get info from people (many above) who have done the TC thing and moved on to something that more effectively fits their current lifestyle. They still have a great deal to offer, if we listen. So be it. It's evolution. Personally, I don't care how you recreate.
In reality, for me, the basic difference in a TC and other RV's is a fearless go-anywhere attitude ( oh, the smell of men (and some women) enjoying themselves in the dirt) and attendant TR's that have a wow factor; oh....... and lack of storage space. Oh,.... and not enough truck. 8<) Most of that has to do with building a sturdy truck platform that can take it, not so much the TC itself.
Oh, we've had the occasional bomb-thrower who lights the fuse and is never heard from again; like someone kicking the ant farm and running away. The best way i know of is to simply not respond to that kind of post. At all.
regards, as always, jefe
