At the exact same time I have seen many many members say goodbye as they sell the tc and go to the "dark side" of Rv's. Only to be invited back at any time camper or not! I was posting the same time as you but I got the same feeling just by the OP stated it made it sound like "Stay in your own section as we don't need/want you here". Maybe my hide is just a little thin when people question why others from other sections post here. I was feeling the same as ryoung.

RV.net set up categories for different RV types, one of which is the TC Forum. I don't visit the other RV type forums because I own a TC. I just don't have time to read all the other stuff going on with other RV types. I don't get much information from reading about Class A RVs, etc. Sure, there's lots of information on other forums that can apply to TCs. No doubt about it.

My question was just that....a question. It wasn't a demand or a flame or anything derogatory. It was a.....question.

Those of you who can read and comprehend, thank you. Those of you who struggle with that, give it another try.

Prior to a TC, I had a toy hauler. I still share any knowledge I have in this section. I also had other trailers in the past but feel that knowledge is so dated or full of memory holes that my input would not be helpful.

Well there it is Butch, two people reading the same thing but getting two different meanings, that's all it is. I tend to think that many mini things get blown up because of what's lost in typing and posting. Your name is well recognized here and it's a sad but inevitable day for all of us when we can no longer make the climb into the camper, much less the bed. Nice to hear from you Butch, and to see your name here on rv.net. The best to you and your bride.

I'm an X TCer owner and my heart well always be in the TCer. Age has gotten my wife and I. After she had very badly broken ankle (she still has 3 plates and 12 screws remaining in her ankle) she does not feel secure on the steps on a TCer.

After owning about 10 TCers over the last 43 years I feel I might know a little about them and if I can help someone out I'll try. I have also owned numerous 5th wheels and a few class A and a few C (which I have now) I have usually had more than one RV at a time. In fact at one time I had 2 new TCers at the same time.

With that being said I guess if the feeling here (which I'm seeing) is that a lot of the TCers don't want anyone infringing into their section other than TCer owners, So I guess if that is the general feeling here I won't come back over and chat with anyone here any more and maybe be able to help someone out with a problem.

I think, as a webmaster of two forums, that the separate RV designations are so that people can find information easier. It isn't to keep people from posting in certain boards, but rather to better organize the threads so people can find what they are looking for easier.

For me, I think it'd be better organized using topics like: water systems; electrical; appliances; etc., but it's how the developers built it.

Huh? So looking at sigs on this post it seems at least half or more are not truck campers. I personally have never cared but now have to ask why we have separate Rv designations at all? Just think of the money rvnet could save not paying all these moderators their incredible salaries. Yes, I know. Plus, I could be boring a ton of more people with trip reports!
