I have been thinking about this comment. This may be Sleepy's position, but I really do not think everyone shares this thought.

I will say, I prefer everyone complete their signature. As for credibility, closed minds with no flexibility is the quickest wat to lose credibility in my opinion. I look at members posts, and I will leave it at that.

Kinda reminds me of the time oil starting to cover the windshield of the airplane in which I was co-pilot. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing, I just noticed it.

Whenever this subject comes up, it is always the TC crowd that initiates it?

I built my own fully outfitted 10' cabover truck camper in 1969... probably worth an associate degree.... my associates thought that it was going to fall apart.... it lasted 30 years.

I took a tour through the Lance Camper plant... and stayed for 6 weeks in the spring of 2006

Bob Merher gave me and Janet a personal tour of the Snowriver Camper manufacturing site in 2007.... and parked our camper their over night.... then stayed a few days in Bob's back yard.
We all know that this experience was better than a MS degree in Truck Campers

We all know that the materials, electronics, and appliances have changed over the years, especially the last few years... I have learned a lot from other (current) TC owners... the bigfootfords, the 3 tons, the reddog1's and the others that post their projects on the TC University.... in detail.

Seeing is believing: When I "see" pictures of a successful job installed in a truck camper, even better still, when I see pictures or actually visit that Truck camper and see the functional mods and craftsmanship done by that truck camper owner I start following that persons posts more closely.

I can honestly say... I have absolutely NEVER been on a Class "A" "B", "C" MH or a T, 5th wheel, toy hauler, or tent forum looking for mods to do to my truck camper. Whats to look at or dream about?
