- JeepCBExplorerBigCity,
I'm gone 6-8 months every two years or so, and I always make sure batteries are fully charged then disconnect terminal ends and tape'em up. I have always been pleasantly surprised when it get back and turn the key. I have a 94 Jeep wrangler and now my 03 Ram. Batteries are always optima yellow tops.
My experience/two cents, for whatever it's worth. Good Luck!
Thank you and be safe out there!
Billy - dodge_guyExplorer IIAre you leaving it inside or outside? If outside and there is no outlet you can use one of those solar charger. They put out just enough to maintain the battery (500mA). They do make ones that put out closer to 1A,but I don't think you'll need that much. If inside or near an outlet get a maintainer.
