I was curious so I went about this a few different ways. Looked up my local dealer, drilled down and quickly saw their entire inventory, didn't have to give them any information.

Then I went to Ford.com and went to find dealer and again, boom full inventory. Only thing I had to give was my zip code.

Then went to the "Let Us Find it For You" this one allows you to pretty much specify exactly what you want on your truck and this one does want your details. Why? I'm not sure, but at least in the past if you went to a dealer and they did this type of search they were looking at all dealers inventory, a bit more of a detailed search. I keyed in some bogus info curious to see if it would let me advance, it did and of course didn't show many any information just that the local dealer would contact me.

That last search is a fail in my book, but I guess I could have searched area dealers on my own and not given any information so not all is lost you can get the information if you are willing to dig. I'm sure the dealers want you to call them, this is one way to force it.
