Here is a slightly different approach to the OP's question.
It sounds like the money side of this is important to you not only now at purchase time, but further down the road in a few years. To that end, you'll do well to get the one true RV you really want to keep for a long time. That is going to require a LOT of research and shopping. And more shopping. Going and looking at, sitting in, and imagining being stuck in there for multiple rainy days is important.
It's often said here on the forum that floorplan is everything, and the rest you will deal with.
Shop carefully. You won't want to have to take the $$ beating of selling after two or three years to get something different.
My other comment is I always say to folks, whether buying new or used: some assembly required. A good sense of humor helps too.
These things are kind of like buying a piece of furniture from Ikea.
Enjoy your search, have fun with whatever you buy. RV ownership is an adventure, in many ways. I will say that in spite of having to fix a few things and having to constantly maintain my trailer, I have enjoyed every night in it, and every mile I've towed it.
