increase payload capacity 2004 Suburban 1/2 ton

The rating on the truck is what it is. You can add air bags, bigger tranny cooler, bigger exhaust, less restrictive intake, etc, but all yo are adding are crutches to prop it up.

If you are only 1.3% over, I would watch the weight and not worry about it. make sure the truck is serviced and maintenance is kept up.

AS noted, towing up against the limits, yo would do better with a 3/4 ton truck.
