Perhaps if they were side by side, the exact same capacity and the line lengths were the same but I suspect one of your tanks will be below and farther away from the pump.
Assuming the original tank is under the RV, I think the upper tank would either empty first or would drain into the lower tank. Then the pump would pull in air from the upper tank as it ran off the lower.
Maybe a better way would be to plumb a line between the upper and lower tanks. That way the upper would just drain into the lower as you pulled from the main tank.
Of course the filler for both tanks would have to be above the water level of the higher tank.

Actually, Scott, they will be on the same level, on the floor under the bed. You are correct though, in that the tanks are not exactly the same size and shape, but, they are very close.
