Independent wheel suspension

So after a lot of decision making, the wife and i finally settled on an impressive upgrade to our old Cherokee 27bh. We delivered our new TT today.

Looking at the brochure, sitting here just now, it states it has independent wheel suspension. "No metal to metal contact, no springs, shackles, hangers or u bolts to break or wear out."

I understand what independent suspension is, just wondering if anyone has experience they can chime in with. How much travel thae independent wheel has, and is it superrior to my previous "leaf spring" system.

Reason i ask is because i have a steep driveway, didnt have any concern or trouble raising my tongue with my old tt. New sitting on a brand new rig, i sit and ponder.

Anyhow, just looking for opinions on the independent system.

For curious parties, its a Pilot, Spirit of St. Louis. I'll post pics ina new thread tomorrow when i get back to my pc.
