Truck campers are a bit too small for our taste, and we'd still have to get a way to tow our motorcycles as well as additional storage. I would love a truck camper and small trailer for vacationing though!
I think we'd quickly max out the payload of a van as well as space. Our bikes are KLRs, they are pretty large and quite heavy. I also like the idea of the additional secure storage a cargo trailer would afford.
Wheel chocks are cheap! I actually already have one and can probably source another one for less than $30. Was just trying to be realistic and over budget for the cargo trailer. I'm betting we can do all that for $2k.
So yes, a $8-$10k budget for the RV and cargo trailer is very realistic. When I originally posted this thread, I was just asking about pickup trucks. Hence the $6k price range because I would still have to buy a TT.
