Good point, I didn't think of that as we are southern. I do remember having some that had a different kind of flipper but they seem to be off the market now. Maybe a bag of small rubber bands for back up when the pin is lost.
I can see how rubber band would work. I posted before I once used tape. (Guess too political?) A zip tie in groove or hole would work for RV use.
