Damp Rid makes a spray on mold blocker/stain remover...that's not harsh so you can spray on fabric, wood and is gentle on skin but I'd still wear gloves for a big project like you have. I get it at Lowe's here in the NW. The RED is the Mold Blocker PLUS Stain Remover.
