That is what sold me on our Wildcat 5'er. (I know this is in the TC area).
In the cabinet behind the corner sink, there is an 8" hole with cover. Underneath, there is a trash cabinet. To empty the trash, there is an outside storage door to remove trash can.
It is wonderful, convenient, tidy and a great use of an otherwise empty space.
Check out the new Arctic Fox 996. Any ser# past 303 has the new indoor trash chute that has outside access to the trash can. - dakonthemountaiExplorer

Dak,
I think that we have the largest amt of counter space that I've seen in any TC of it's size. I have plenty of room to prep, cook and keep the trash out of the way. Another reason, we chose our model.
I totally agree! I looked up the floor plan. Very nice, and of course I'm jealous! :)
Dak - whizbangExplorer IIA regular size, plastic, kitchen waste bin fits perfectly in a small cabinet under the dinette seat.
This is the first of our three campers to have a dedicated trash spot and not have a hanging plastic bag. We love it. - campn4walleyeExplorerDak,

Trash can holds shoes which get out of hand if you don't keep them contained.
- TraciKExplorerOH, and then we I am packing up, I put the soap dispenser, box of kleenex, and sponge in the bucket and place in the sink for travel.

I bought a bucket at the Dollar Tree and a shopping bag fits good in it. I just sit up by the sink. Works good.
We do the same thing. It's just a small trash container that holds a small shopping bag. We keep it up on the counter, but it still gives us plenty of prep space. We just empty trash more often.
On the counter?! You have enough counter space to put a bucket on it?! I WISH I did. I do a lot of cooking in the camper and need all the counter space I can get for prep, etc. so that that would never work from me. I've actually thought of trying to find a way of suspending a container from the ceiling next to the cabinets! Until I get a larger camper with more counter space I'm stuck with what I've got I'm afraid...
Dak
Its in the corner behind the sink. So, not in the way. But, we have only been twice in the TC and the only thing we cook was in the microwave. We are 4 wheel riding while camping so I go EASY!! - flipskidExploreri like the velcro idea so the container can be put on side of cubboards or bench. a polished boat bumper cage could work to hold a pail of some sort.

Dak - JimBollmanExplorerMy wife found a tall mostly round (flat on one side) container that she thinks was made to put a loaf of bread in, at a garage sale for 50 cents with no lid. I put a large piece of velcro on the bottom and it sits on the carpeting by the kitchen cabinets. a bit small for a standard plastic grocery bag to fill completely, which means you can fill to the brim pull it out and have plenty of plastic left to tie it shut. I would walk the aisles of a big home improvement/Walmart like store looking at the weird plastic containers they make for specialty use.
