installation and recommendation for brake controller

Even if you get the pigtail you may still need to add a fuse and or relay to get power to the trailer brakes and a dedicated 12 volts to the trailer. Fuses or pretty cheap and relays are usually under $5. Your owners manual and a test light like this Test Light This youtube video will help explain the test light Video
