Hope this is both a DOT approved (had it molded into the part) and secured according to that DOT certification...
There are many reasons aftermarket fuel tanks designed to be mounted on/in/etc vehicle are expensive
Not for the good days, but for that Mr Murphy moment...most likely during an accident
It might rupture and cause a fire, and if atomized...possible explosion
Each state has their own laws on this, and another reason expensive to get their product certified...and...qualify for coverage...
But...the chances are low, but not a zero chance...
Have six or was it eight 5 gallon Jerry cans and mount them securely. IIRC four of them are NATO approved
