Installed 25 gallon auxiliary tank..... sort of!

I installed a Enduraplas 25 gallon Auxiliary tank today to extend my traveling range, and create more fueling options.
The tank is not actually installed it just sits in the bed of the truck. There are large alligator clips that can be attached to the battery to supply 12 volts to the tank's built in pump. You simply pump gas from the Enduraplas tank into your regular tank.
Not quite as fancy or convenient as a true auxiliary tank, but it does give me an extended range and more flexibility between fuel stops. Check out the pictures I think you'll get the point. :D

I get the point of having extra fuel on board and it's always good insurance. I am not ever in a great hurry and kind of enjoy getting out every 200 miles to take a break and stretch. Good for you, it looks like a nice compact unit.

It is the idea of not HAVING to stop and pay exorbitant pricing in one state or another. I may stop, stretch, use the restroom, etc and get back on the road without paying $.40-.60 higher fuel price.
  • My simple aux tank - 15 gallon, $37, and a shaker siphon. I can add another 3 tanks with ease. Takes 8 minutes to transfer the 15 gallons.

A couple of nylon straps and it's good to go.
  • Not bad but limited. I have a 110 gallon diamond plate aluminum fuel tank in the bed with a 12 volt electric pump installed in it. When I'm not RV'ing. the tank fills my farm tractors in the field.
  • I have no need for for it. But, it is a neat system.
    It could be very handy.
    Thanks for posting.
