It is "set and forget".
I installed several of them in the house I sold and 1 in my TC.
Since my camper has single faucet with diverted for vanity/shower - this is what I used. There is thread somewhere about the conversion.
Not only those valves make for convenience, but also save water since you can enjoy the shower instead of staying on the side and trying to adjust the temperature.
In house with tankless WH they also smooth up cold surge on restart.
