That’s correct. I’ve been leaving the right hand knob up against the red button stop, which gives you 100 degree water all the time. Twist the left hand flow control knob to turn the water on and off. If your shower head has a shutoff valve, you can use it to control the water flow while showering, and just leave the faucet flow control valve fully open.
