Yeah, I like that fixture you found as well. In fact, I wanted to install that one in the camper at first, but its dimensions just wouldn’t work in the space available. Now that I’ve installed mine in the camper and see how well it works, I may order that one for the house.
On one of my test runs with the new valve, I intentionally ran the water heater out of hot water to see what would happen, and the shower water just got cold. It didn’t effect the volume at all. The description for my valve does say that if the cold supply should fail (not sure how that would happen, but whatever), the valve will reduce the flow to prevent scalding.
