Installed LED light bulbs in the TC.
The bulbs are brighter and use about 1/10th the power of the 100 +/- year old technology incandescent bulbs. No buzz in the Stereo and no other unintended consequential issues to report. The light unit at the kitchen was bright enough that I changed the orientation of the light fixture so that the light lens faces the kitchen window wall not side on so that the unit switch faces inward now blocking the intense light from shining in the eyes. Very happy with the results. I got six bulbs in a pack for $72.00 at "Camping World", an RV.NET supporter and advertiser.

  • I switched my Open Range over to them.
My Wolf Creek came with them. After first use of Wolf Creek I realized how I hate the bright white (blue) LED's so I switched them to Warm White. The original in Wolf Creek caused weak TV signals to shut off when light were on. The replacements (link below) don't have that problem.
Plus they are rated 12-28V so no problems with them not working during day when solar is pushing the voltage up over 12.

  • Thanks for the report on your LED's. I need to get them for the RV, I'm slowly converting the S&B to LED.

I wonder if the LED's will last as long as the Bay Area bulb?
  • Yeah
    LED is amazing technology.
I have whole house lighted up with 100W
100 years old is fluorescent technology.
Bay Area has incandescent working continuously for 115 years.
