Curious I looked at the retrofit kits-looks like the additional 14 speed part of the thermo switch-but didn’t find a breakdown, otherwise uses same 3 speed manual switch. Unfortunately F/F doesn’t sell parts individually, unsure why (though I understand if you contact them if you need something they will help out). So you can’t add either the 3 speed manual or temp control switch, only in the kits.
The manual 3 speed switch is, for a resister switch, a nice piece though-would make a good candidate for converting any single speed brushed motor (like standard vent or hood vent). Wonder if someone like Newark might source.
Looked some more found manual temp control switch ebay-yes obviously electronic. Also found what appears a rheostat speed control-ebay. Wiring in though you’d be on your own. It has the lower raise switch, looked like momentary switch-you’re saying the power lids are not adjustable-either fully up or down, seems odd. Id change the switch (if I had the other components for power lid) wonder how it triggers power at end of stroke.. Oh well Im doing neither-but kinda interesting. Lots of options
