Sure would be nice to have access to one (or working diagrams), with all the features. See how they work and paths-hadnt thought about it but I also assume the rain switch must use same sense.
Ours 2 years old the lid if its been setting a while or tightend the gasket still sticks, often feels like im going to break before it releases-that would probably load motor and auto function would just turn off power-never open-hmm
Which if you have the rain switch would add to the convolution, I assume same lift motor.
Unless the temp. board needs the thru put from motor, needs to know or be triggered by load, a simple on/off switch on lift motor taking it out of loop? Would allow use of auto rain switch when on, off would allow partial opening for temp switch.
If it (board) needs the thru put 'load sense' then the load resister would work, but defeat rain switch. You could switch the load resister using 3 way switch SPDT, power in- power out either to lift motor normaly or thru load resister. Allow manual setting lid height for temp switch use-but keep ability of rain switch function when desired.
Too many variables without having one to varify funtions & how its wired so just guessing. I hope that load /lift circut has seperate fuse.
Then again you could just put a beaded chain on lid- a clip plate on trim plate. Fully adjustable-Adjust chain to tighten at given height which would load motor when it hits that point. A DR.suess sorta of approach-certainly work. Think mentaly tracing wires & possibilities is causing some slippage here.
But I think what you want could be done-just exactly how would be determined by fans configuration.
