My Prodigy P2 controller has a function that either kills the power after a period of time and all the lights and indicators go out, or has a Low Amperage Draw "Stay Alive" circuit that keeps any presets that you've made in the memory.
Current wise, I would imagine that it draws no more than what it takes to keep the digital clock on your radio active. I'm not planning on pulling the fuse.
