Installing ladder on trailer ???
I am wondering if its worth it. Is it difficult to find studs for mounting and is it really necessary. How many times do you need to go up there. Opinions and comments appreciated.

Absolutely necessary to mount into studs. Best way is to order a trailer with a ladder factory installed, DIY often not recommended by dealers as the opportunity to screw up the installation is considerable. I don't have a ladder and wouldn't ever consider installing one myself, anytime I need to access the roof (a few times each season) I simply use an extension ladder.
