- Road_PhantomExplorer III'm in Pa and had to get coverage when I financed my trailer. It was fairly cheap for the year. As far as I know, you are covered automatically by your existing policy for liability when towing, the same as if you hooked up a u-haul moving trailer whether or not that trailer is on your policy. That being said, any damage to the trailer incurred in an accident would only be covered if you had the trailer covered by its own policy from your insurance Co., or from the other party involved.
I would call your Insurance Co. for an estimate and professional answers to your questions. - Redterpos3Explorer

We added our trailer to our insurance coverage, but it has it's own policy, just like an additional vehicle. - crickeydogExplorerFirst welcome to the forum. Second, you need to ask your specific insurance carrier in Pa that question.
Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)
