Interesting way to air condition an Airstream
Driving home from work today, I found myself behind an airstream trailer with a residential style mini split air conditioner hanging off the back. It kind of struck me as odd.

If there was a condenser unit that was designed the lay flat vs upright then you could install that piece on the roof instead of on the tongue or back bumper.
I have thought about that too. Seems like there's even room underneath some rigs to put them.
That looks to be a 1 ton system or less. So only about 12K BTU.
