I disagree, I think the Melitta pour-over makes better coffee than the plug-in. The key is not to boil the water, if the water is too hot it makes the coffee bitter.
I agree that the plug-in is more consistent for that reason.
I have the Melitta Porcelain Pour-Over Single Cup..The reason I spent a little more for the porcelain,is the best perculator I have ever had for perked coffee,was porcelain..It makes good coffee,no doubt but I'm inpatient in the morning wanting my coffee and probably hurry it..As I mentioned,I have a Mr Coffee 5 cup coming Friday so I'll see just what it does on an inverter and a 1000 watt hour lithium battery which is less than a 100 AH battery at 1200 watt hours.
