Inverter vs Generator

For years I carried 3500 watt generator and found its use going down as I travel nationally and use parks most every night. It was those long haul days I would need it for the microwave or a/c to sleep in a truck stop etc.

I have a new set up to share with the forum, purchased a 2500 watt inverter with only one outlet. Hard to find. Placed it in the forward locker, ran cables to the existing battery and just plug it directly to the coach. I let the truck idle and it produces enough juice to run the roof a/c!! W/O truck running microwave and tv no problem. Below is the inverter. Lots more room in the truck w/o that generator!
