- cavieExplorerI have a 13 in my 2002 26' 5th wheel. Works just fine.
- Guy_RoanExplorerThe 13,000 is fine for that length, but if your trailer has a 50 amp service, (which I doubt), I would do it in a heart beat.
If your trailer only has a 30 amp service, don't do it. It could prevent you from running other electrical appliances at the same time it is running
Guy - valhalla360NavigatorFor a 22' trailer, 13k should be fine. Not a bad thing if the 15k is a cheap upgrade but certainly not critical.
- CincyGusExplorer IIThis is an easy one. How happy are you when your hotter than you wanna be? If you tolerate the heat well (along with all those that camp with you), save the money and use it for trips.
If Being hotter than you wanna be gets you cranky or ticks Momma off, You better write that check and get the 15K version pronto!
As always, It's better to Have it and not need it than to not have it and Need it! - How cold do you need it to be? I know you are in KY and I'm in WA, but I have been in 100+ heat and the AC will keep my trailer in my sig to whatever temp I want to keep it at, which is around 75, because any cooler just gets cold with the fan blowing on your body anyway.. I could get it to 68 if I wanted, but that's just too cold when it's 100 outside..
We don't have the humidity that you probably have either, so I guess I'm just talking out of my ass.... :)
If you have the option to get the 15k unit, just get it and adjust the temp as you please.. That's what I do with my 13k unit (that is over 16 years old now) and I have never had to turn the temp dial to max and the fan over LOW ever..
Good luck!
Mitch
