I've had generally good luck on Craigslist. I've bought and sold a bunch of stuff including RV's.
That said, there was a really good looking Northern Light camper advertised in the Lewiston-Clarkston --- about 5 to 6 hours drive from my house near Seattle. I think the camper was 20 years old and the sellers were asking about $6000 --- A high price for a camper of that age. So, I figured it must be in pretty good condition. Wrong. It was a total piece of junk. The work required to fix it was so extensive that I wouldn't take camper for free.
The only up side to the story was that I was going fishing in Idaho anyway and the detour off the freeway was no more than 10 minutes. If I had driven across the state just to see the camper, I would still be ticked off.
Good luck in your search.
