Is a reflash of the ECM necessary
I have gotten a Check engine light a couple of times, and then soon after it goes off. I hae a mechanic pull the codes and it is saying that Back 1 and 2 O2 sensors are staring to fail. He suggested...

The difference has been that all of those after market gizmo's were NOT "Highly
Integrated" into the vehicle central computer(s)
They ARE now...or need to be...else won't work...work well or be flaky
If my P3 acts up...I can unplug it and replace with another or some new OEM...can
anyone do that with a "Highly Integrated" brake controller?
There was a thread here on a poor fella trying to install an after market
stereo system into his Eco F150...to find out that the piped in fake exhaust was still
there and messing up his new stereo...
This thread is about reflashing...wonder if these will parallel computers where
some of the patches created more problems than it fixed...
Or that they will then find that some of the after market stuff that they took
hours/days/weeks to get stitched into these "Highly Integrated" systems...now
won't work because they were not on the list of approved components/providers/etc
Heck, even rev level might not be on the list...or like XP...dropped
from the OEM's support system...guess dialed in obsolescence of our vehilces...
